Name of user’s sound samples

You can give any name to your sound samples, the studio will change it.

However, it exists a syntax for well defined sound sample file names. The sound sample names can follow the given pattern:

prefix _ name _ _TNG_ N _oo_ O _cc_ 123 _o_ ld.WAV

prefix depending on the instrument:

  1. tanpura_sample_
  2. shruti_sample_
  3. harmonium_sample_

name is a user name for the sample: my-miraj-tanpura

N is the note name, among C C# D D# E F F# G G# A A# B

O is the octave offset of the sound, use zero if unsure.

123 is the ⅒ cents value. Use zero if your sound sample is perfectly tuned. Set to 20 to increase 2 cents, set to -35 to decrease 3.5 cents.

ld is the possible options, it is not mandatory.

  • l stands for loop mode ready: your sound sample can be played in loop without noticeable sound click.
  • d stands for default sound sample: if you want this sound sample to be loaded by default.

Example of file names:

  1. tanpura_sample_my-miraj-tanpura__TNG_D#_oo_-1_cc_0.WAV
  2. tanpura_sample_my-miraj-tanpura__TNG_E_oo_0_cc_105_o_d.AIFF
