What is the use of an octagonal button?
An octagonal button is used to control the value of one or two parameters of an instrument.
Usage of an octagonal button
When you let your finger (or mouse) pressed on a button:
- slide up to increase the value
- slide down to decrease the value
Double tap the button to reset its value to the default value. Examples:
- A to 440 Hz,
- Octave to zero,
- Fine pitch tuning to zero
Single tap the button to open a full screen value selector. It will enable you to select precisely the value you need. Value selector examples:

- A vertical slider to easily select a value among a wide range: 👆 Vertical Slider
