The MIDI Settings button will open the MIDI device management’s page, from which you may connect a MIDI device, and set the mapping between your device buttons or keys and the shrutis or notes you want to play.

⚠️ In rare cases, if your MIDI USB or bluetooth device is not recognized, it may be needed to restart the application in order to have a proper detection.

Bluetooth MIDI devices

You may search nearby bluetooth MIDI devices with the search button. Once connected here, a device should be visible in iTabla Pandit Studio Pro.

MacOS and Bluetooth MIDI devices

However, on MacOS, you’ll have to connect your bluetooth MIDI device to the computer before being able to use it within iTabla Pandit Studio Pro. You’ll have to use the Apple tool Audio and MIDI configuration, located in Utilities. This tool will provide you with a “MIDI Studio” to handle and connect accessible devices.

Android and Bluetooth MIDI devices

On iOS, you may connect your bluetooth MIDI device directly from the application.

USB MIDI devices

They should be visible shortly after plugging the USB and authorising the connection. You’ll need an OTG cable to connect your USB MIDI device to your iOS phone or Android phone. On MacOS, you can connect it directly. See below some OTG connectors we used for our tests:

In order to access a USB MIDI device, you’ll have to enable OTG connection in your phone Settings, then Additional Settings:

Once OTG is activated, you should see you MIDI keyboard, … in the list of detected devices in iTapla Pandit Studio Pro MIDI configuration.
